Russel Braga

Guitar

Russel Braga holds a B.A. in Music degree from Southern Methodist University where he studied classical guitar with world-class guitarist, teacher, and performer Robert Guthrie.  Russel’s interests at SMU led him to study music composition, as well as instrumentation and arranging, by exploring interdisciplinary coursework while on a full-tuition academic scholarship.  Russel’s concentration in the classical guitar started at Brookhaven College where he obtained an Associate’s of Arts in Music degree while studying with Carlo Pezzimenti, internationally recognized guitar teacher and performer.

Russel Braga is a member of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).  Premieres of Russel’s compositions include Doctoral Recitals at the University of North Texas, student recitals at the SMU Meadows School, and at the Fine Arts concert series at St. Monica Catholic Church.  Prior to his formal music education, Russel was self-taught in popular music.

Outside of the music field, Russel Braga’s interests include manufacturing, food safety quality, farming, baking, and cooking.  Russel Braga also holds a Master in Business Administration degree and a certificate degree in Culinary Arts.
