Tin Whistle Class

Tin Whistle class at Bonham Conservatory is designed to teach children the basics of music through learning a simple, yet delightful instrument—the tin whistle.

Tin whistles are inexpensive to purchase, yet in the Irish Music genre there are 10,000 lovely tunes for whistlers to learn!  In our class, we begin with traditional melodies and exercises, and quickly move into the Irish Music genre.  There is endless fun to be had for children, and even into adulthood with the humble tin whistle!

Yet students gain more than just a good time in this class.  Through learning to play an instrument—as well as learning to read music—students are challenged in ways that sharpen their minds, and give them valuable skills they will enjoy for life.
